ASU Gammage: package up a Broadway experience!

Jul 30, 2009

ASU Gammage launches new mini-subscription packages. Starting Monday, August 3, patrons can select a combination of four or more Broadway spectacular shows! Packages start at $61.40.

Tickets to see the return engagement of Phantom of the Opera—October 28-November 22, 2009, will be available to mini-subscription package buyers before anyone else. After five years, the Phantom returns to the ASU Gammage stage. This tragic love story of a beautiful opera singer and a young composer who is shamed by his physical appearance has captivated audiences in more than 100 cities worldwide and is the longest running show in Broadway history.

Other shows included in the mini-subscriptions include Legally Blonde the Musical, running from September 22-27, 2009, and also Little House on the Prairie, December 8-13, 2009.

Also, coming in February to the ASU Gammage stage is Mary Poppins. Then, Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps and Jesus Christ Superstar in April, 2010. Visit the ASU Gammage website for more information and to keep up-to-date on events and future engagements. Also, follow them on Twitter @ASUGammage.

Tickets can be purchased at the ASU Gammage box office, Monday-Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.  Tickets are also sold online through Ticketmaster or by phone at 1-800-982-ARTS (2787).

ASU Gammage is a performing arts venue and architectural landmark at Arizona State University and is one of the largest university-based performing arts venues in the United States.

With a performance hall that seats 3,000, ASU Gammage is home to the M&I Bank Broadway Across America-Arizona series and presents a variety of Broadway productions each year, as well the grand opera, musicals, symphony concerts, lectures and  more.

This eight-story building opened  in 1964, with an original design  by Frank Lloyd Wright with two pedestrian bridges that give a  "welcoming arms" feel to the structure.  It is the only public building in Arizona designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was commissioned 1957 by ASU President Grady Gammage.
