Sequoia Charter Elementary School Reviews

I have had my children at Sequoia for two years now and am pleased. The staff have always been forth-coming in any problems that my children may have. I have always felt welcome on campus by students and staff. This year I have a child in kindergarten and she is enjoying her class. I know that there are other choices for schooling out there. Yet, I feel that smaller classes, smaller campus, and a strong ciriculum are the keys to a good school experience.

Teh School will be undergoing major changes in the lowerschool personnel. The Kindergarden is very stron but the first grade is weak. The school is very well prepared to handle special ed kids. They also have a deaf ed program on campus and teach the kindergarden class in sign lanuguage. Overall it is a good school.

All of the Sequoia schools seem to be pretty good. My kids go to Sequoia Star Acadamy which is a distance learning/performing arts school. They love it. We really like the principal, teachers and district people. The kids who go to this school are very well mannered and extremely talented. We can't say enough good things about this school.

Its great, the administration really cares.

Sequoia Charter Elementary is a school that is past its prime. When I first enrolled my children in the 2002 - 2003 school year, there was a seperate principal for elementary, middle and high school. That abruptly changed in the '04 - '05 school year. One principal with inadeqate credintials, teachers being out on sick leave so long the students could barely finish an assignment and substitutes for these M.I.A. educators who were more intersted in entertaining 5th and 6th graders with the inapprotriate details of their life stories are just a few of the results of the disastrous decision. Add to this the parents were frozen out and ignored and you get a clear picture of the situation at Sequoia Elementary. Hopeful parents beware.

I am highly satisfied with the staff at Sequoia. I enjoy the activites that they provide for family and look forward to having all 3 of my children there next year. There full day kindergarten program is excellant - the principals this year are WONDERFUL. Thanks Sequoia for the outstanding work in my childrens education.
