Kyrene de las Brisas School Reviews

Kyrene de las Brisas is a great school. My kids always come home with A's. I would recomend this school to everyone!!! Thanks

We love Brisa's. I can't say enough good about the school. We have been very happy with all the teachers and the staff. Parent involvement is very high. The extra activities that are offered are some of the best. We love the drama program, mallet masters, and so many of the class led activities such as the 50's dance, Pumpkin Walk, Carnival and Multicultural night are excellent.

I have been at this school for 4 years and have loved every minute of it. My children are doing very well. The preschool program is wonderful, love that my children get art, principal, music, computer lab, and library time. Every teacher and every staff member is always so willing to help each child, it is truly a community and we love it. The events are so much fun; carnival, sock hop, there is something every month. The principal, is wonderful...so positive, so nice and really knows what the children and classrooms need. Love the school, love the school district, love living in the neighborhood!

Wonderful school with great teachers and learning style geared to all levels of learning.

Brisas is an excellent school. The faculty, administration, students and parents are truly a community. The school has a new prinicpal this year and the transition was seemless. Students are given many opportunities that other elementary schools are not, including a drama program. The school takes extra steps in prevention and have a vested intrest in each child, especially those children struggling to read and write. In addition to the Read Naturally Program the school has a wonderful K-3 program that works with those children that need extra support in the classroom.

This school is incredible in the quality of teachers, facilities, and everything it has to offer. Starting with a wonderful Kindergarten program rich with field trips and applied learning, the educational experience continues on throughout the higher grades. There is a great deal of school pride, parental involvment, and community activities. Every month a different grade sponsors a community event such as an ice cream social, pumpkin walk, carnival, etc. The amount of academic material that my child has learned has astonished me, and the teachers are eager to work with the parents. I am a high school teacher myself, and very critical, but couldn't be happier with this school.

Quality of academic programs is very good. Availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities is great. Parent and student involvement makes it a family affair rather than an isolated effort. Parents are well educated and well informed and take deep interest in their childrens' academic and extracurricular activities. Teachers are open minded and hardworking. Peggy Warren has been a great asset to this school with her mutual respect fot her teachers as well as the parents. Over all a great place for my children to grow and learn. Level of parent involvement is maximized by teachers' openness and accomodations. Great coming together of all that is good and valuable in our education system today. I highly recommend it plus the middle school also. High family values and attention to building character and education together.

Brisas is a good school, although it is rather large. Academics are challenging, teachers are communicative and there are many options as far as extracurricular activies.

The school has a good reputation in the neighborhood and appears to be a good one. I am still researching it and hope to find that all is well.

Although there are better schools in the Kyrene district, De Las Brisas is on the high end of the spectrum. It has a diverse student population and provides an array of activities for students to become involved.

I recently moved my family to Power Ranch where my son attends Power Ranch Elementary and we miss Brisas very much. My son tested into the honors program and is getting straight A's and has yet to work on anything close to the level of knowledge he got at Brisas last year. The really great thing about this school is that my son was not only taught academics, he was taught socialization. The kids have a code of conduct they are expected to follow. They sign a contract with their parents at the start of every school year. You'll find no drugs, bullying or violence in this school. We miss it dearly. Kyrene school district is by far the best. Mr Grube and Miss Klotz are what every teacher aspires to be and I was blessed to have them be part of our scholastic experience.

Brisas is a great school if your child is the type of student who is above average. If your child is having difficulty in reading or math, this might not be the school for you. The reading and math program do not emphasize enough reptition for math or enough phonics for reading. It's not the teachers because they are awesome, but it's the Kyrene school cirriculum that they must follow.

The preschool program at Brisas is wonderful. My child enjoys the hands-on curriculum. The environment nurtures his creativity and inquisitive nature. The teachers are intelligent, enthusiastic, caring and willing to communicate about what's going on in the classroom. What a great way to begin his formal education!

This school has been a wonderful experience. the academics are more than we expected from a public school. the lifeskills that are applied really work.

From the principal on down the staff at Brisas is the best! Our child has attended for four years and we even had him return after trying another school in the area.

My son is in Kindergarten and we have been very impressed with the all day program. It is very organized and he has learned a lot. The teachers are extremely professional. We are looking forward to 1 st grade.

My child has been most successful. Her experiences have been superb. Options such as multiage and all day kindergarten have served our family well. The leadership at Brisas is exceptional. You couldn't ask for a more dedicated staff!
