Our children's favorite spot in Tempe is Arizona Mills Mall, an outlet mall that offers over 175 retailers, including a variety of clothing, accessories, jewelry, homewares and more. We haven't done enough shopping at Arizona Mills shopping center, so we plan to visit another temple.

The Desert Botanical Garden is one of my favorite things to do in Tempe, but it was only when we first immersed ourselves in it that I discovered all the great things we were doing. It is right next to Papago Park, which is worth a visit, and it is a great place to go out and do something.

At the top of a hill you have a great view of the surrounding area, including Tempes Town Lake. The Pima Canyon section of this park is the closest to Tempe and offers beautiful views, including views of the Temecula and Phoenix skylines. When the weather is nice, it is also a great and quiet place to explore when it is nice outside.

This reservoir occupies part of the dry riverbed along the Salt River that runs through the city of Tempe, just a few miles north of downtown. It's a great way to spend a day in Temecula, Arizona, and be part of one of Arizona's most popular outdoor recreation areas. One of my favorite spots in the Mill Avenue District (also known as downtown) is a walk to the lake, which is just cordoned off from a popular Mill Street business district.
